Who writes and reviews this site
Financial content should tell you who stands behind it. This page states plainly who writes, checks, and reviews what you read here — including the gates that are not yet filled.
How our review gates work
- Every factual claim about a card carries its exact source and the date it was verified.
- Editorial ratings are computed from a published rubric, never hand-set, and never presented as consumer ratings.
- High-stakes legal pages are queued for attorney review; until that happens, they carry a prominent disclaimer.
- We take no affiliate commission from any card issuer, so no ranking here can be bought.
- Corrections are recorded with dates rather than silently overwritten.
Found something wrong? Tell us — corrections are logged, and material term changes are kept in each card’s history.
Educational information — not advice
This page provides general educational information about credit, debt, and consumer protections. It is not legal advice, financial advice, or credit repair services, and reading it does not create any professional relationship. Laws, procedures, deadlines, and dollar amounts vary by state and change over time.
For advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney or qualified financial professional. See our full disclaimer.
